We know that air cylinder equipments will appear some common faults during in use. How to judge common faults and find way to solve them? In this article, we will discuss about this issue.
Judging common faults of air cylinder and solutions
1. Small rebound
First of all, you should know how to judge it is a good air cylinder or a bad-function air cylinder. The checking way is simple. You tightly block the air hole of cylinder with your hand and pull air cylinder piston shaft with your hand. If there is a great reverse force when you pull it, and the piston will automatically spring back to the original position when you put it out, it shows that the cylinder is normal. You may use this way to check air cylinder push rod. Firstly you pull out the push rod and block the air hole, and press the push rod by hand, if there is also a large reverse force at the time, and the piston will automatically spring back to its original position when it is released, which shows the function is normal. If the cylinder is not normal, there is no resistance or little force when pulling, and the piston does not move or the movement is slow when it is released. Though there is reverse force when pulling out, it actuates too slowly and the force is very small, which shows the function is abnormal.
2. The magnetic switch malfunction
Generally, the magnetic switch is not easy to break, but you often encounter the phenomenon that the magnetic switch does not work and there is no signal output in actual operation. This is because the position of the magnetic switch has changed, which makes it unable to sense the magnet in the cylinder. At this time, you need to check whether it is fastened.
Generally speaking, we do not recommend repairing the air cylinder device frequently, but sometimes for emergency use, we recommend that you perform simple repairs on the phenomenon of air leakage, non-operation, slow movement or gas leakage. First, use the special pliers to remove the screw at the end of the air cylinder component, and take out the air cylinder piston. There will be a rubber ring on the piston. Usually the cylinder does not move, or actuate slowly or blows air because of the excessive wear of the rubber ring. Now you remove the rubber ring firstly, and then install the new rubber ring. Finally, clean the air cylinder body and ensure that the two air inlets are unobstructed. After everything is done, you wipe a small amount of non-impurity butter on the inner wall of the cylinder, and then install the circlip at the end of the cylinder. After repairing it, the service life of the pneumatic air cylinder can generally be extended by one to two years.
We know that equipment needs maintenance. If the equipment is maintained well, it does not need to repair frequently. So, take good care of your equipment, and remember to regularly wipe and keep it clean.
